Kilo Kitchen Seminyak Named Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2026
For five years in a row, Kilo Kitchen Bali has been recognized by Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice — once again placing us among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide since 2022.
What makes this recognition special is how it is decided. Tripadvisor looks at the reviews and ratings travelers leave over a 12-month period and uses that feedback to recognize the places they enjoyed most. So this award did not come from a submission or a judging panel. It came from the people who actually sat at our tables, shared a meal with us, and took the time to tell others about their experience. That is how Kilo earned a place among Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2026 winner, which makes this recognition more special.
So instead of simply celebrating the badge, we went back to the reviews. What do guests actually remember about Kilo?
The answer is rarely just one thing. Some talk about the food. Others remember the way they were looked after. Some notice the architecture before they even sit down. And many of the comments we value most come from people who simply say they would come back.
Those are the details behind this award, and they tell Kilo’s story better than any badge could.
It Usually Starts with the Food
Talking about Kilo’s signature dishes, guests seem to have their own favourites. What we enjoy most is seeing how differently people experience the menu.
Recent Tripadvisor reviews mention the Tuna Tartare, Crispy Eggplant, Beef Cheeks, Fish Tacos, Squid Ink Rice and Prawn Ravioli among dishes they remember, an unusual mix for anyone searching for just a healthy lunch in Seminyak, but exactly why guests keep coming back for more.
One reviewer who has visited Kilo over the years wrote about the food and service remaining consistent. Another guest admitted to being particularly attached to our Squid Ink Rice after experiencing Kilo across breakfast, lunch and dinner, proof that Breakfast Seminyak regulars keep coming back to Kilo just as often as dinner guests do.
A restaurant can spend a great deal of time talking about creativity and technique. But in the end, perhaps the better measure is much simpler than that.
Did you enjoy it enough to remember what you ate? Would you order it again? Is the experience good enough for you to take the time to leave a review and share it with the world?
As a restaurant fusion food in Bali that values our guests’ experience, we sometimes find that a review is all we need.
Service That Knows When to Be There
One thing that appears again and again in our reviews: the people.
Recent reviews describe the service as attentive, friendly and professional. Some even remember individual staff by name. Guests often mention the welcome they receive when they arrive, or how the staff looked after their table or helped them choose from the menu.
For us, good hospitality has never been about constantly interrupting the table to prove that we are paying attention. It is often quieter than that.
Knowing when someone needs help with the menu, noticing when another drink might be welcome, or simply being there when the table needs something and stepping away when everyone is deep in conversation.
It sounds simple. Getting that balance right every evening is not.
That is why seeing our team mentioned in a review feels particularly meaningful. Food leaves the kitchen carrying the chef’s work. Hospitality happens in real time between people.
When someone remembers both, we know the whole experience came together.
The Kind of Atmosphere Where You Lose Track of Time
Seminyak has its own energy. There is always somewhere else to go, another dinner reservation, or another plan waiting after this one.
“The atmosphere is something special too. Despite being close to busy areas, the restaurant feels peaceful, intimate, and completely removed from the outside world. The design and overall ambiance are incredible”
Recent guests have described Kilo’s atmosphere as peaceful and intimate despite the restaurant sitting close to the movement of Seminyak. We like that description.
Because for us, atmosphere is not only created by what a room looks like. It is the music sitting at the right level while people talk, or having enough space around your table to settle in, or enjoying an outdoor dinner beneath the trees on a warm evening.
Another guest described choosing Kilo for a romantic dinner in Seminyak, Bali to celebrate their wedding anniversary as a perfect choice, proof that the same venue holding large groups comfortably can just as easily feel intimate for two.
The Reviews That Say, “We Came Back”
Having those first visits are exciting, but return visits? It means something different.
While reading through our Tripadvisor page, we noticed how many guests talk about coming back over and over again to Kilo.
Some return whenever they are in Bali, while others have visited Kilo over several years. One guest wrote about experiencing breakfast, lunch and dinner with us during the same holiday. There’s also those who described Kilo as somewhere they want to return to every time they come to Bali.
There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Bali, and Seminyak alone could keep someone eating somewhere different every day of their holiday.
So when somebody chooses our table for a second time, it means particularly special to us.
Our staff make sure to recognize familiar faces who always come back. What’s more fascinating is sometimes the guest remembers us before we remember them, and their first words might be about a dish they hope is still available!
As a restaurant, we naturally spend a lot of time thinking about how to attract people to come. But after all these years, we have learned that successfully making the first impression and being worth returning to matters just as much.
Thank you to every guest who has eaten with us, returned to us and shared their experience along the way. We’re grateful to have you as part of Kilo’s story.
Reserve your table and experience Kilo Kitchen Seminyak for yourself — from breakfast and lunch to dinner, cocktails, and the moments worth coming back for!
